10-Ball Billiards Rules
Object:
To pocket the 10-ball into the called pocket.
Balls:
Use balls numbered 1–10, plus the cue ball.
Order:
Play balls in ascending numerical order.
Legal hit:
The cue ball must hit the lowest numbered ball first.
Call shot:
Before each shot, announce which ball to pocket and in which pocket.
Pocketing:
If the called ball is pocketed into the called pocket, the player's turn continues.
Rail hit:
If no ball is pocketed, the cue ball or a numbered ball must hit a rail.
Fouls:
If the cue ball pockets a ball illegally, or if no ball hits a rail, the shooter's turn is over.
Innings:
If a player fouls, their inning ends and their opponent takes the table.
Break shot:
The player who wins the lag chooses who shoots first.
